A new lightweight jacket has appeared on the diving equipment market, the Scubapro GO, which is an interesting alternative for those divers who travel a lot.
The acclaimed American dive equipment manufacturer has unveiled its latest jacket model, the Scubapro GO. The BCD features light weight and comfort features to create the perfect combination for travel.
In the description Scubapro GO The manufacturer has included information that, despite its light weight, BCD is very durable. There is no denying that in the case of equipment which is to travel with us, resistance to wear and tear is a key parameter.
This is why the jacket is made from a lightweight but very strong material, 210 denier nylon. The entire jacket is coated with polyurethane and welded using the RF high-frequency method to achieve maximum resistance to wear.
The result? Scubapro GO is the lightest jacket with front adjustment available from the brand and weighs just 2.5kg. Importantly, the whole thing is not only lightweight, but when folded it forms a compact unit that will easily fit into a travel dive bag.
However, when creating the GO model, Scubapro did not forget about what is most important – diving comfort. The first element worth noting is the new proprietary Quick Cinch cylinder attachment system. This patented technology allows for quick clipping in of any type of tank, regardless of its size. Especially useful when we are on the move and rely on rental cylinders.
An interesting solution that the creators used in Scubapro GOare the new, compact and swivelling shoulder buckles. They make it considerably easier to put on the BCD and guide the shoulder straps comfortably. In turn adjustable chest strap and double drawstring straps help the jacket fit perfectly.
The air bladder wraps around the diver’s body and fits comfortably without compressing it. The ergonomic Airnet backpack enhances this comfort while offering drainage and easy folding.
Scubapro has integrated quick-release pockets that hold up to 4.5 kg of weight. Plus, they’re easy to put on and secure with low-profile buckles. Scubapro GO It has two large low-profile zipped pockets. This is complemented by 5 aluminium D-rings, including two large shoulder ones, which offer convenient attachment points for additional gear.
TheScubapro GO is available in 5 sizes (XS-XL) that provide buoyancy from 10.2 kg to 19.4 kg. Optional trim pockets are also available for better ballast distribution.
