An app for Android smartphones has been specifically developed for the SeaLife SportDiver housing. It is a compact, lightweight underwater housing that fits most smartphones. Now both iPhone users and Android followers can take full advantage of its potential.
The SeaLife SportDiver case allows divers to taking photos and recording videos. Simply pack your smartphone inside and you’re ready to go underwater. The case is ideal for recreational divers and is dedicated to depths of up to 40m.
The whole thing is made of polycarbonate, stainless steel, aluminium and optical glass. Although the SportDiver case is very robust, it is not heavy at all. On land, it weighs just 641 grams and, depending on the smartphone used, has an almost neutral buoyancy.
The ergonomic design of the SeaLife SportDiver fits well in the hand. In turn, the large shutter button and other controls are easy to operate, even with thick gloves. The housing allows for a lot of creativity when taking photos and videos. Using the advanced settings, we can adjust zoom, exposure, focus, white balance and much more.
With SeaLife providing an app dedicated to the SportDiver case, users can bring out the full potential of their smartphone. The app uses camera technology and therefore provides the same high quality photos and videos that you would expect from your phone. It also offers a power saving mode that temporarily turns off the camera and dims the display. Simply tap any button to wake it up instantly.
Playback mode displays photos and videos at full size with a thumbnail bar. All files are also saved to your phone’s camera roll. The SeaLife SportDiver case automatically connects to your phone and app usingBluetooth® Low Energy wireless technology. No cables or buttons touch your phone, and the case provides very low power consumption. The whole thing is powered by two AAA batteries, which last for over 50 hours of continuous use.
The new Android app is available in the Google Play shop.
