The huge tragedy was widely reported not only in the diving media. Of all the people on board, only five crew members were able to be rescued. The causes and course of the tragedy are being explained by the relevant services.
DAN has made a $10,000 donation to the victims’ families and has set up a dedicated website through which anyone wishing to do so can make a donation and show support for the victims’ loved ones.
The entire amount raised will be divided into equal parts and then distributed to families and loved ones. Both PADI, SSI, TDI/SDI, Scubapro, DUI, Women Divers Hall of Fame, PSI-PCI and California Diving News have joined the campaign.
The website is available under at this address.
