In the second half of August, specifically on 19-23.08.2015r, another Crystal Water Competition will take place on Lake Hancza in Suwalszczyzna. Competitors from all over Poland and perhaps even abroad will descend on the shores of one of the most popular bodies of water among divers and freedivers.

Principles

The competition will be held in accordance with the current AIDA Regulations and will be conducted in three competitions:

  • Constant weight
  • Free immersion (diving without fins)
  • Unassisted (fixed weight without fins)

Each athlete is allowed to compete in one event per day.

The competitor has the right to freely choose the competition in which he/she will compete on each day of the competition. If a situation arises that makes it impossible to start on any of the competition days, the competitors have the right to postpone the competitions declared for that day to the next competition day.

The final order is determined by the points scored by the competitors in the individual competitions.

Order in case of equal number of points:

If two or more competitors score the same total points (consisting of points scored minus penalty points), the one with the fewer penalty points is ranked higher.

In the event of the above point being inconclusive, the contestants shall occupy the same place.

Points for individual competitions are awarded according to a scale:

– 1 metre of depth = 1 point
– the score achieved is rounded down to the nearest metre. Example: 46.7 m in a fixed ballast = 46 points
– due to lake conditions the depth limit is 90 metres.

For organisational reasons, the limit is 20 competitors.

Entry fee

Payable by 15.07.2015:

  • 250 PLN for members of Freediving Poland Association,
  • 300 PLN for other competitors of Polish nationality,
  • 80 euros for competitors from other AIDA member countries,
  • 110 euros for other competitors from other countries.

Payable after 15.07.2015:

  • 300 PLN for members of the Freediving Poland Association,
  • 350 PLN for other competitors of Polish nationality,
  • 100 euros for competitors from other AIDA member countries,
  • 130 euros for other competitors from other countries.

Due to the nature of the competition, entry fee and competitor registration must be made by the deadline of 10.08.2015. There are no separate limits for Polish and foreign competitors – the first come first served rule applies.

More information can be found on competition website and on fb profile.
