BALT- MILITARY- EXPO - 14th Baltic Military Fair

More than 120 companies from 15 countries have confirmed their participation in the 14th Baltic Military Fair BALT-MILITARY-EXPO, which will take place in Gdansk on 20-22 June 2016. The fair is accompanied by the NATCON International Scientific and Technical Conference, the RESCUE EXPO International Medical Rescue Conference and Exhibition and – for the first time – the USEALS unmanned sea, air, land systems exhibition. The event will be held under the honorary patronage of Minister of National Defence Antoni Macierewicz.

The BALT-MILITARY-EXPO is inextricably linked with the sea and the coast. It focuses on maritime safety, defence systems and rescue at sea and on land. The fair is organised in close cooperation with the General Command of the Armed Forces and the Naval Inspectorate. This year’s edition is attended by leading manufacturers and suppliers of the latest generation of armaments, equipment and accessories from Belgium, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, Indonesia, Israel, Canada, Germany, Norway, Sweden, the USA and Great Britain and Poland.

The BALT-MILITARY-EXPO fair is accompanied by conferences and exhibitions:

– VII International Scientific and Technical Conference NATCON “Maritime Technologies for Defence and Security” The aim of the conference is to build a platform for knowledge exchange between future users, industry and scientific and research institutions of the Baltic countries, priority topics: solutions in the field of military maritime technology and maritime and coastal safety in ports and critical infrastructure facilities, as well as in maritime rescue. These topics are in line with the strategy of the Ministry of Defence in terms of priority directions of research conducted in the ministry in 2013-2022. The organisers of the conference are: Research and Development Centre Maritime Technology Centre S.A., Naval Academy, Gdańsk International Fair. Co-organisers – National Defence Academy, Military Technical Academy and Gdańsk University of Technology.

– 3rd International Rescue Conference and Exhibition RESCUE EXPO The aim of the project is to present the latest trends and standards in rescue and emergency medicine and to exchange knowledge, experience and expectations between the scientific community, producers, suppliers and users of equipment. The event is addressed to all entities

operating in the sphere of State Medical Rescue Service. The main theme of RESCUE EXPO 2016 is “Interaction in rescue and emergency medicine”. The event is accompanied by rescue exercises and demonstrations, certified medical workshops, presentations of companies in the field of safety, an exhibition of rescue services and the rescue competition “Baltic Rescue Challange 2016”. There is an opportunity for paramedics to obtain 16 educational credits. The conference is implemented in close cooperation with the Professional Association of Emergency Medical Rescuers.

– Exhibition of Unmanned Sea, Air and Land Systems (USEALS) – PREMIERE EVENT. BALT-MILITARY-EXPO is not only a trade fair, conferences and exhibitions, but also a spectacular display of anti-terrorist and rescue operations in the waters of the Port of Gdynia near Sker Kościuszki. Gulf of Gdansk. The presentation of the dynamic boarding of a sailing ship promises to be particularly attractive. The action will take place with the use of combat boats and a helicopter to rescue hostages from their captors. Undoubtedly, the presentation of vessels of the Royal Swedish Navy, Estonian Navy, Polish Navy and the Maritime Regional Unit of the Border Guard (on the waters of the Port of Gdansk at Tadeusz Ziółkowski Quay) will be a particularly impressive and unusual attraction.

Traditionally, the fair is accompanied by the Rear Admiral Xawery Czernicki G rand P rix Award Competition, which promotes products of the highest utility for the Polish Armed Forces and the services of the Ministry of Interior, characterised by innovative technical solutions and unique exploitation values. The Competition Committee will select the Grand Prix winner and the winners of three equivalent awards – Amber Medallions of the Fair. The awards will also be granted by: Minister of National Defence, Inspector of the Navy, Polish Chamber of Manufacturers for National Defence, Commander-in-Chief of the Police, Commander-in-Chief of the Border Guard, Rector-Commander of the Naval Academy and the Board of the National Association for the Protection of Classified Information.

The BALT-MILITARY-EXPO trade fair is visited by the command staff and officer corps of the Polish Army, formations subordinate to the Ministry of Interior and Administration, as well as high-ranking foreign representatives connected with the military industry. Delegations of ministerial level from India, Romania, Sweden, Germany, Estonia, Indonesia and military attachés credited in Poland have already confirmed their presence.
