The station Digi24TV reported that two divers Iulian Rusu and Pascal Roibu found the remains of the mentioned wreck in the area of the ancient port, near the city of Constanta. The remains are located at a depth of about 17m and it is strange that no one has come across them so far.

Museum representatives hope that in the immediate vicinity of the find it will be possible to locate and excavate valuable artefacts from the period. Now both divers are waiting for the relevant permits, which will allow further exploration of the wreck. The Ministry of Culture will also assign specialists to support and supervise the archaeological work.

Iulian Rusu and Pascal Roibu are not accidental divers who stumbled unexpectedly upon an underwater treasure. In the past they were involved in the exploration and excavation of two hydroplanes from Romania’s Sutghiol and Tasaul lakes.
