AIDA awarded wild cards for freediving World Cup 2015

The international freediving federation announced last week that wild cards have been awarded to participants in the 2015 World Championships. The cards were split between the depth and pool disciplines. The top 10 athletes in each discipline have been guaranteed participation in the championships. AIDA awarded wild cards for freediving World Cup 2015

The international freediving federation announced last week that wild cards have been awarded to participants in the 2015 World Championships. The cards were split between the depth and pool disciplines. The top 10 athletes in each discipline have been guaranteed participation in the championships.

Among the best freedivers there was a place for our champion – Mateusz Malina, who qualified for two pool competitions – DNF (dynamic apnea wihout fins) and DYN (dynamic apnea with fins) and one depth competition – FIM (free immersion).

What does it mean in practice for the Polish representative? Well, he will not have to take part in qualifying tournaments to fight for medals, and thus he will be able to prepare for the most important starts in peace and without pressure.
