Already in May 2021 every lover of history hidden in the depths will be able to go on a trip to the wreck of the legendary liner RMS Titanic. Well, anyone who can afford to buy a ticket, the price of which is expected to be “only” 125 thousand USD.

Such an unusual attraction will be on offer from OceanGate Expeditions. And I am sure that there will be quite a lot of people willing to go to the wreck of the ship, which sank in 1912 as a result of a collision with an iceberg during the maiden voyage from Southampton to New York.

Manned submersible vehicle oceangate The optimism of the organisers (certainly backed up by solid market research), who are planning to organise six such tours, to be held between May and September, should come as no surprise. What’s more, we know from the information available that 36 tickets have already been sold to date!

We have to admit that this is quite a good result, especially if we consider that each flight can take nine passengers. You don’t have to be a maths whizz to quickly work out that there are only 18 tickets left on sale.

Historic photograph of the RMS Titanic Included in the ticket price, each passenger will receive a private cabin during the eight-day voyage from Canada, and will also have the opportunity to operate a five-person underwater vehicle during the 90-minute descent to the wreck. Each dive will last between six and eight hours, with three hours dedicated to exploring the wreck itself.

It is worth mentioning that OceanGate Expeditions has already rescheduled its planned excursions several times, offering its cruises first in 2018 before being rescheduled for 2019 and then for 2021.
