The day after Dive Demo Days Hancza 2017

These few days have flown by in a flash. It is all over now. Unfortunately. But it was four exciting days filled with diving, lectures, communing with nature (meadows, boulders, cows, storks and wasps) and socialising.

Our deepest, Polish Lake Hańcza did not spoil with temperature below thermocline. The first six metres of depth meant a temperature of 21-22°C. However, it was enough to dive a little lower and immediately it was icy 5°C. And practically nothing in between.

Cuba was pleased with Santi, commenting on the above circumstance as follows:

The cold from the seventh metre of depth was rewarded by amazing Polish crayfish, found very rarely anymore. Some almost the size of lobsters! They hid in their caves dug into the clay walls and clay slopes.

The braver ones would go out for a stroll among the stones and you could meet several representatives of the species at once.

There was also a pine tree. Or even two, one of which turned out to be a spruce, but the participants in the evening talks discussing the dives know this.

As befits Diving Demo Days, there was plenty of equipment to test. Heating and lighting from Ammonite and dry suits and warmers from Santi. By Seux, together with CN CTN Piórewicz, the latest model of the VR scooter was made available, which is quite impressive.

In terms of accommodation and food, we were served by CN Banana Divers and, as it turned out on the spot, the name itself obliges, indicating endless layers of bananas and good company and humour.

Car parks 1, 2 and 3 were successively besieged, and the long-standing fee of 10 PLN was collected by the owners, who meticulously (grandma on a bench, and grandpa on a Junak) recorded the registration numbers in their paper hard drives.
