A device that needs no introduction and one of the most popular computers for technical divers – Shearwater Petrel 2, has received an interesting update. The manufacturer has decided to refresh this legendary design, adding to it a frame made of titanium. The change is small, but on the other hand, it is hardly surprising, as the product itself is one of those that are hard to improve.

The Shearwater Petrel 2 is at the forefront when we talk about computers dedicated to advanced technical divers. Although it is not the latest design, minor improvements and enhancements have allowed it to stand the test of time and become a leading figure in its class. No wonder, then, that the creators decided to somehow reflect the character of the device by arming it with a titanium frame. The change is therefore purely aesthetic and does not add anything to the functionality

The Shearwater Petrel made its market debut in 2012 and almost immediately became a huge commercial success. The successor to the Predator model has allowed the Canadian manufacturer to not only establish itself in the market, but has also enabled it to take a step forward and meet the demands placed on measuring devices by modern technical diving.

The success of the Petrel was surpassed by its successor, the Petrel 2, which not only bore the burden of its predecessor’s success but also became an extremely popular choice with less advanced recreational divers.
