Underwater Remote Operated Vehicle SEAWOLF is the latest child of Swedish brand TT Robotix. As the manufacturer assures, it is a step towards a new generation of ROV equipment. The whole thing has been designed to become an ideal tool, using HD sports camera systems available on the market, such as Go Pro Hero 3 or 4.
SEAWOLF offers the possibility to take photos and record videos while it hovers motionlessly in the depths, as well as to transmit live transmissions to equipment on the surface, e.g. on research vessels. The operator controls the device at all times, receiving an FPV image (First Person View) on the screen.
The TTR-SB SEAWOLF can reach a top speed of 3.3 km/h thanks to an electric drive powered by a 5000mAh battery, which translates into an operating time of approximately 50 minutes. The whole thing is set in motion by a five-blade brass screw. The unit maintains its position in the depths thanks to stabilisers in the form of 3 fins.
The set is available in three versions. Two wireless – No.5222-F11, No.5222-F12 and one where we have a permanent connection via cable – No.5222-F13. In addition to the ready-to-use device made of very resistant ABS plastic with the drive described above, we can choose to receive the signal using a smartphone, a Bascom D4 receiver with an 8″ screen or, in the case of the cable version, using an 8″ erkan with LED backlight.
In the case of wireless versions, the set includes a mini transmitter floating on the surface, connected to the ROV with a 10 m cable. As an option, a Pelican case can be added to the set, allowing for comfortable transport of the whole.
