Ron Taylor began his underwater adventure with crossbow hunting. His achievements include the title of world champion in underwater hunting. His wife, on the other hand, also took part in such competitions and held the title of national champion.

The fascination with this sport did not last long, however, and they both moved into the conservation and protection of the aquatic environment. They recorded a whole bunch of films showing the magic and uniqueness of the underwater world. Their favourite subject was sharks and their behaviour.

For almost half a century, together they have created many television productions and sensational nature films that have become cult hits. This was the case in 1992, when in South Africa they became the first people to film a great white shark without any protective cage.
