A friend became qualified to operate an ROV today and somehow I was inspired to post a video related to these deep sea exploration machines. These devices have a wide range of applications in both commercial and research areas, and the material they collect is particularly valuable.

The limitations of the human body meant that an avatar of sorts was needed to go deeper and stay there longer, and so began the road to the first ROV machine. Robots are slowly becoming the standard for any exploration of the deep, and there is a huge variety of them.

Below is a small video showing the Twilight ROV machine.
