Only until the end of the month you can send your applications for the recruitment to the Formoza Military Unit based in Gdynia. While sending your application, you should be aware of the kind of challenge you are taking up, as only the best will find a place on the “island”.
Those wishing to join this one of the most elite Polish units should first download a set of documents from unit homepage. Then fill them in and send them back in a physical form (paper) to the address: JW Formoza, rondo Bitwy pod Oliwą 1, 81-103 Gdynia.
In addition, soldiers and officers of other uniformed services should attach a photo of themselves in uniform at their current rank, as well as a certificate of no criminal record. More details and answers to all questions can be obtained at the indicated e-mail address: 4026.rekrutacja@mon.gov.pl
The first screen is the personal questionnaire submitted by the candidate. During the next stage a group selected from all applications will undergo fitness and psychological tests. Those who meet the requirements will get a chance to prove themselves at the autumn camp in the Bieszczady, which lasts about 5-6 days. This is where the final selection stage takes place and, according to the stories of those who have gone through it, it is a real ordeal.
Those of you who are thinking of taking up the challenge should first of all remember that you are trying to get into the elite. There is no room for lapses or mistakes. This applies to each of the above-mentioned stages, from correct and careful filling in of the questionnaire, to fitness and psychological tests. The desire to serve among the best soldiers must be a conscious and considered choice, and each candidate must be characterised by above-average skills and endurance.
