According to researchers, the progressive degradation will lead to the complete destruction of the Titanic in the coming years.

We have collected thousands of new images and videos of considerable value to share with other researchers. We have also prepared a draft ArcGIS map of the site, onto which we have overlaid profiles from the dips. After our next expeditions we will be adding further layers of data and images to this map. Dr Briget Buxton, a marine archaeologist at the University of Rhode Island, said.
