On the diving equipment market, the NoGravity company is a relatively new player. However, when encountering products signed with the characteristic blue logo, it is hard to pass by indifferently. At least, it was in my case. Why? The answer is simple – quality, customisation and quality again.
Just the first glance will tell us a great deal. If we have seen several different warmers before, we will always pay attention to certain important details, such as the material used, the finish of the product, or the facilities that make it enjoyable to use.
The Narhwal series is the “lightest” shelf in the NoGravity offer. Both in terms of price and conditions it is dedicated to. Do not think, however, that it will not work in harsh Polish conditions. Thanks to the applied materials, Narhwal warmers will ensure comfortable diving in summer as well as in winter.
The product in question is a three-layer insulator, which consists of Polartec Power Dry knitted fabric, which in addition to the heating function ensures excellent drainage of moisture from the diver’s body, preventing cooling in situations where water gets into our suit.
The middle layer is insulated with Climashield Apex fabric. This is used in the production of many extreme sports garments due to its high thermal insulation properties. In combination with its high durability and resistance to mechanical damage, it is the number one choice for many sports/extreme sports clothing manufacturers.
The whole is crowned with breathable polyester NG, which also has a high resistance to mechanical damage. In addition, the NoGravity Narhwal warmers have elastic inserts made of Polartec Power Strech Pro.
The cut itself draws attention to its great fit to the wearer’s body. In addition to the bespoke tailoring, the manufacturer has also made sure that customers can choose the best suited to their physiognomy from a bagatelle… 20 sizes!
The whole is completed with 3 pockets (2 on the thighs with a slight slant and one on the chest, closed with a zip). The zip is two-way, protected by a pleat made of the same material as the insulator. Both the cuffs and the legs are finished with stretch fabric that does not absorb water. The straps at the wrists, apart from being easy to dress, allow the gas inside the suit to flow freely.
The element I personally always pay attention to – the elastics at the legs. It is important that they are wide. Nothing annoyed me so much in my first warmer than these small, thin things. Here they are as they should be, believe it or not, such a small detail can make a difference. In addition to providing us with the right temperature while diving, the Narhwal series will allow its wearers to stay warm on the boat and on shore, protecting them from the wind.
