Nitrox Analyzer – a new application from RAID
Listen to this article

Adapting to the new realities, diver training organisations have placed more emphasis on remote education. However, this has necessitated the creation of new tools and one of these is the virtual nitrox analyser from RAID, the first simulator of its kind available online.

The app gives you the opportunity to safely and conveniently learn how to use a nitrox analyser, used on a daily basis in diving. All this without having to visit a diving centre or incurring high costs in order to have access to the device, which is the analyser itself and to a tank with the appropriate gas.

The whole thing allows you to learn and make mistakes without risk or consequences, and helps you to calibrate and analyse your gases correctly. The application can be a great tool for all divers who are considering or have already signed up for a nitrox course. It will allow you to learn the basic functions of the analyser: switching on, calibrating, managing flow, logging results and applying them to your dive plan.

The software was written and developed by experienced dive instructors and faithfully resembles a real analyser. Both in terms of appearance, operation and response. This provides an opportunity to learn about gas analysis and prepares you to use the analyser in practice.

It should be remembered that the application is only a simulation and is a teaching tool and an aid to broaden our diving knowledge. In order to be able to analyse our gases independently and safely, it is necessary to take a course covering these issues, which is run by all diver training and certification organisations.

The application is available in both the Google Play Storeas well as in the Apple App Store.
