New Santi Concept Store and lecture on Karlsruhe 2021 expedition - report

Last Wednesday, 13 October, Santi officially opened its new Concept Store in Warsaw. Additionally, the whole event was marked by the first lecture on the expedition to the wreck of the SS Karlsruhe.

The evening promised to be very interesting. In Warsaw there was a great opportunity not only to satisfy one’s curiosity at the source, but also to take part in the opening of the new Santi Concept Store.

Although no one was hungry thanks to the snacks, it was clear that everyone was looking forward to the main course. It was, of course, the premiere lecture on the background of the Karlsruhe 2021 expedition prepared by Tomasz Stachura.

The guests had the opportunity to see, among other things, previously unpublished material, which the presenter provided with a comprehensive commentary. The relaxed atmosphere was also conducive to many digressions and allowed a broader context to be presented. Something that would be difficult to smuggle in an official report or articles published in the press.

We must admit that the evening was a great success for the organisers. Both the new Concept Store, and the lecture prepared by Tomasz Stachura, attracted a crowd of guests. Although the place is not the smallest, the divers who came filled it tightly. So much so, that for about 1.5 hours of the presentation, it was impossible to squeeze in any direction. After the official part, it was time for discussions behind the scenes, questions and socialising in the diving group.

Not only diving

As a matter of interest, I have to mention that there is not only a new Santi Concept Store on Popularna Street in Warsaw. Next door, across the wall, there is a Santi workwear shop. De facto it is where the history of the whole brand started. Of course, you won’t find too many things you could use underwater, but… When you visit the other shop, you might be surprised how many of these products you would like to have on your boat, in your workshop or garage. So while you’re in the Concept Store, it’s certainly worth taking a look here too.
