During the XIII Serbian Open Pool Freediving Championships held in Belgrade at the end of February, there was no shortage of emotions and new world records! The competition, held under the aegis of AIDA International(Association Internationale pour le Développement de l’Apnée), proved exceptionally successful for as many as three participants, who set new world best results!

In the women’s category, Lidia Lijic performed phenomenally, reaching 186 metres in the dynamic swimming with fins competition – DYN BF. In turn, in the men’s category, the record had to be shared by Boris Milosic and Vitomir Maricic, who also in the DYN BF category, covered a distance of 243 metres.

The records will become fully official once the last point of the procedure has been completed and the results of the anti-doping tests have been received.
