Our top freediver at the World Championships in Finland once again left no doubt that he is in top form and with 232 metres he set a new AIDA World Record in the DNF – Dynamic No-Fins competition.
The new result achieved by Mateusz Malina replaced his previous record of 226 metres, which he set in 2014. The AIDA 2016 Freediving World Pool Championships take place in Turku, Finland and both participants and spectators can’t complain about a lack of excitement.
This is only the second day of the World Championships, so we can expect more success. Especially if we take into account how successfully all our representatives presented themselves. All Polish competitors will start in DNF finals.
A dessert served by Mateusz Malina during his record attempt, which is a 2-second procedure, deserves a separate mention and recognition. With his feat the Polish representative aroused admiration and applause of the audience watching the competition.
Tomorrow is the third day of competition at the AIDA World Pool Championships in Turku. We keep our fingers crossed for our representation and hope that soon we will have another reason to be happy!
