Global Underwater Explorers – GUE, the diver training and certification organisation, has presented a new, refreshed and revised edition of the “Fundamentals of Better Diving” manual(The Fundamentals of Better Diving ).

The refreshed edition of the handbook sets new directions for those who want to get the most out of their dives, presenting what sets GUE apart in terms of both theory and practice.

The publication is a source of very useful information on improving one’s own skills, but also on teamwork and minimising risk, in fact everything that constitutes a successful and safe diving, both for experienced technical divers and beginners who are just starting their underwater adventure.

GUE Fundamentals cover

While the first edition defined and popularised the value of standards and protocols of practice, the new edition offers a more accessible recipe for divers wishing to apply sound diving practices while enhancing their diving ability and readiness underwater. Increasing competence underwater reduces stress and provides a more exhilarating and expansive diving experience, reads the official GUE website

The book contains ten chapters filled with everything a good diver should know and apply on a daily basis. Thus, we will find here chapters devoted to dive planning and buoyancy, as well as slightly more complicated issues concerning, for example, diving physiology.

“The Fundamentals of Better Diving” is available in six languages: English, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean and Chinese and costs €19.95.
