Game and album dedicated to the submarine ORP Orzeł

Admittedly, it may be a little too late to make Christmas presents, but after all, Christmas is not the only occasion of the year to give your loved ones or yourself a little treat.

The game and the album will certainly allow you to spend many wonderful moments with your children and to familiarise them the history of the heroic crew of the “Eagle”.

Santi album Finding the Eagle 2014-2020

The latest publication in the form of an album, which has been offered by the shop Santi Finding the Eagleis a summary of nine expeditions carried out by the team associated with the project between 2014 and 2020.

The individual stages of the search for the missing submarine ORP Orzeł are presented in an interesting way, enriched with beautiful photographs. They include, among others, the date, the route of the expedition and specific days, as well as the naval unit which participated in the search. It also includes historical facts that were supposed to help find the wreck of the ship, as well as members of the search team, partners and sponsors of the expedition.

ORP Orzeł board game

Another interesting proposal is a board game prepared by the Institute of National Remembrance. It is set in the moment ship crossing from the Baltic Sea to the North Sea. The legendary escape of ORP Orzeł took place in the first weeks of World War II. Many archival materials were used to prepare the game, among others from the collections of the Naval Museum in Gdynia.

ORP “Orzeł” is a game for two people. Although each player has a different goal to achieve. The player of the Polish Navy is to escape with the submarine ORP “Orzeł” from the Baltic Sea to the North Sea. The opponent, who is in charge of the Kriegsmarine (the navy of the German Third Reich), has to sink the “Eagle” before it leaves the Baltic Sea – reads the description of the game on the IPN website
