“‘Dolphin Man’ – where can you see the film?

A fascinating and long-awaited film telling the story of Jacques Mayol – “The Dolphin Man” – opens in Polish cinemas today. In view of our readers’ interest in the information about this production which appeared on our pages, we have prepared a full list of cinemas where you will be able to see this exciting production.

“The Dolphin Man” is the extraordinary story of Jacques Mayol, one of the greatest divers in history and multiple world record holder in deep-sea diving. His complicated personal life, passion for diving, commitment to ocean conservation and extensive knowledge of dolphins inspired Luc Besson’s cult film ‘The Big Blue’. Now we get to know him even better.

We go on a fascinating journey into the underwater world, immersing ourselves in the sensual and frontier experience of free diving. We travel through Japan, Miami, Marseille, the Caicos Islands, Kalymnos and Elba. Diving allowed Mayol to reach the limits of the human body and discover the deep bond between man and the sea.

The film weaves together stunning contemporary underwater photography by the world’s best divers with intimate commentary from Mayol’s friends, family and world champion divers. Narrated by Jean-Marc Barr – who played the role of Mayol in The Big Blue.

Below is a list of cinemas where you can see the film from 17 August:

  • GDAŃSK Club Żak
  • GDYNIA GCF
  • KATOWICE Światowid
