We often post videos of dives in the most beautiful caves around the world. Mexico, Bahamas, France and many others make a great impression on everyone and evoke a sudden surge of diving ambition, that I may not be able to do today, but next year, who knows?

Today, a completely different and much closer place – the Kowary uranium mines. In the years when the deposits were actively exploited, the existence of the mine remained a strict secret. Today, the mine is a tourist attraction and an interesting place to visit. In addition to dry corridors, it has also those flooded by water.

So far, the exploration and documentation of the flooded levels, which are believed to go as deep as 500m, is underway. Divers are trying to unlock passages to further levels and make exploration safer.

As they themselves write about diving in the mine, “the climate is unique and very hardcore”. Below is a video to prove their words:
