The next months are passing faster and faster, and that means that the Diving Talks Portugal 2022 diving congress is getting closer and closer!
In the fall, the beautiful Portuguese coast will host the one of this year’s biggest diving events. From October 7-9, the real cream of divers from around the world will descend on the Tróia Peninsula. The reason? It is, of course, the second edition of the Diving Talks Portugal diving congress.
The organisers anticipate that this year’s event will attract around 500 guests from all over the world to Portugal. This is not surprising, as the list of attractions and invited speakers is quite impressive.
Already confirmed guests include Adam Wood, Alexandre Hache, Armando Ribeiro, Audrey Cudel, Bill Stone, Brandi Mueller, Gareth Lock, Jean Claude Monachon, Leigh Bishop, Mark Caney, Mark Powell, Nuno Sá, Simon Mitchell, Stef Panis, Teresa Amaro, Tomasz Stachura and Xavier Meniscus.
Leading technical divers from around the world, explorers, discoverers and researchers will present their latest developments. Whatever it is about the underwater world that turns you on the most, you can be sure to find it at Tróia. Wrecks, caves, deep diving, scientific research, archaeology, ecology and many other topics will all be waiting at Diving Talks Portugal 2022.
If for some reason you are unable to attend, there is still nothing to lose. The event will be streamed online and the organisers have estimated an audience of 50,000 viewers from around the world.
However, we must not forget that the Diving Talks Portugal diving congress is not only lectures and knowledge. The organizers have also provided for an exhibition part, which will bring together manufacturers and exhibitors of leading brands. Unlike many other events here, the undoubted advantage is the location. After all, who wouldn’t want to test new diving equipment in the beautiful waters of the Atlantic Ocean?
What is undeniably of huge interest is the planned discussion on the future of teaching in diving.
Imagine representatives from PADI, SDI and SSI coming together to discuss the future of teaching in diving. It doesn’t take much to make an exciting, substantive and interesting debate about diving in such a group. At Diving Talks Portugal 2022, you won’t have to imagine anything! Mark Caney, Mark Powell and Jean Claude Monachona will sit down together at one table to address the topic.
