Diver involved in Thai cave rescue operation dies

It has been almost a year and a half since the rescue operation in the flooded Thai cave, but the story has another sad chapter. The media have just reported the death of one of the rescuers involved in the operation, who died as a result of a blood infection.

Beiret Bureerak was a Thai Navy SEAL officer and one of the rescuers involved in the unprecedented and most famous rescue operation in recent years. While serving with dedication and as a result of his actions, he contracted a blood infection. Unfortunately, despite long-term treatment, he died.

Bureerak is the second fatality of a rescue operation in Thailand. Thai special forces sergeant and diver Saman Kunan, who was supplying oxygen to the trapped boys in the cave, died while the operation was still ongoing. Unfortunately, he also paid the ultimate price for his dedication and sense of duty.
