On Sunday, October 16, a diving instructor was killed at a swimming pool in the Netherlands when a scuba tank exploded.

The accident occurred during a swimming pool class in Amstelveen, a suburb of Amsterdam.

According to information reported by local media, diving cylinder exploded in the hands of the instructor as he stood on the edge of the pool. Police, firefighters, ambulances and a helicopter immediately arrived at the scene.

As a result of the explosion of a scuba tank, the man was seriously injured. The injured instructor was taken by rescuers to the hospital, where staff provided him with specialized assistance. Unfortunately, the man died as a result of his injuries. None of the people nearby were injured.

The powerful explosion was witnessed by about 40 people who were at the swimming pool, including staff and pool guests. Everyone is in tremendous shock after what happened.

The causes and exact course of the entire incident are being investigated by the police and the labor inspectorate.
