We have already written about An underwater vernissage of photos taken and exhibited on the famous wreck of the USS Hoyte S. Vandenbergbut this time, we have something even more interesting for fans of real art. A young artist from Russia – Denis Lotarev, paints his pictures… directly under water!

A young Russian, over the years he has refined the techniques and materials he uses so that he can paint underwater what delights him most – wrecks. He spends between 40 minutes and 1 hour underwater. During this time, he has to set up with his tools and paint the wreck of his choice.

Lotarev exhibited his collection of 60 underwater paintings at the Art Space Gallery in St. Petersburg. It could be admired till 24th January 2012. For those who did not have the opportunity to catch it, the video below remains:
