What has been talked about behind the scenes for some time has become a reality. The world’s deepest pool, Deep Dive Dubai, has been completed in Dubai.
Not Poland anymore, but the United Arab Emirates is the country where the deepest diving pool in the world is located. It is time for you to meet Deep Dive Dubai – a diving pool with the maximum depth of 60 m! The official opening is scheduled for 29 July, but already today we can see some of the attractions that await inside!
Located in the Nad Al Sheba district of Dubai, Deep Dive Dubai has been verified by Guinness staff as the world’s deepest diving pool. The facility offers an impressive depth of 60 m and houses 14 million litres of waterwhich is the equivalent of six Olympic-size swimming pools.
Deep Dive Dubai allows thrill seekers to dive deep and discover a new underwater dimension full of adventure and wonder. We offer an unparalleled experience with year-round diving in a safe environment with outstanding instructors and services. The facility is an investment in Dubai’s growing sports culture and will add another world-class destination to Dubai’s booming tourism sector – Abdulla Bin Habtoor, spokesperson for Deep Dive Dubai, said.
Users will find underwater two habitats with a dry chamber at depths of 6 and 21 metres. In turn, 56 cameras cover all angles of the pool, with sound and lighting systems completing the picture. The water temperature in the pool is 30°C. All of it is filtered and circulated every six hours. The facility uses siliceous volcanic rock and UV light for this, a filtration technology developed by NASA.
In developing the concept for the building, we were inspired by the courage and fortitude that comes from the heritage of pearl fishermen in the UAE. We also hope to embody the determination of Emirati explorers and innovators. Both past and present, and we will provide a platform for future achievements and discoveries – Bin Habtoor added.
The creators of Deep Dive Dubai have made the sunken city the leitmotif. Thanks to available multimedia we can explore some of the nooks and crannies of this colossal object. The main pool is styled as a sunken ruin, from which we can swim to different thematic rooms. Divers can explore this underwater world, along with an abandoned street, flat, garage, games room and other interesting elements.
Coming soon Deep Dive Dubai will become the hottest attraction in town and a must-visit place. However, that is not all. The facility will offer a range of diving and freediving training under the guidance of the best specialists. Excellent conditions for practical diving training that’s not all! The complex also has lecture rooms, a dive shop and a restaurant for 80 people.
It is worth noting that the pool’s depth of 60.02 m dethroned Polish Deep Spot – 45.4 m and British Blue Abyss. Although the facility on the islands exists only in plans and on drafts, the assumed maximum depth is 50 m. Today, the sheikhs have sent a clear signal that this is not enough to Deep Dive Dubai claim the title of the world’s deepest pool.
There are still 22 days until the official opening of the facility. However, I am sure that as of today, all social media will be flooded with footage of the new pool. All that remains is to watch, admire and plan a trip to Dubai.
