Cleaning up Lake Czarnoglowy – 19.05.2013

Czarnoglowy Lake is a former chalk mine and one of the most interesting diving reservoirs in the West Pomeranian Province. The reservoir is popular not only among local divers, but also many people from Poland, Germany, Denmark and Holland meet here. Good access, close distance to the sea and plenty of natural features above and below the water make it sometimes difficult to find a parking place at the beach.

Under the water you will find beautiful chalk walls, a submerged forest, the remains of a mine and wonderful vegetation. The situation is similar under water. Here, too, there is a lot of debris left by not only beachgoers but also anglers, in various parts of the basin.

This was noticeable during last year’s dives, so we decided to do something about it. In agreement with Przybiernów Commune and under the patronage of the company No Gravity we organize the First West-Pomeranian Cleanup of Czarnoglowy Lake, which will take place on 19 May (Sunday) at 10.00 am.

We start at 10am gathering at the car park by the beach. We will divide into groups and go. Divers will have boats at their disposal, which will take participants to different places in the lake. Rubbish will be collected in special bags. Those who will be cleaning up on land will also receive bags and gloves.

From 12 o’clock a hot barbecue will be waiting for all participants, and the best “collectors” will receive gifts from the No Gravity company. All collected waste will be collected free of charge by the municipality of Przybiernów.

Once again you are warmly invited! The event is completely free of charge, but if possible we ask you to confirm your arrival via e-mail [email protected] or by phone 601725077
