Robert Osborne’s book, The Third Dive, based on the provocative documentary of the same name, will be released in October 2020, exploring the causes of the shocking death of world-renowned conservation activist and filmmaker Rob Stewart.

When experienced diver and award-winning filmmaker Rob Stewart, director of the sensational films Sharkwater and Sharkwater: Extinction, died while diving off the coast of the Florida Keys in 2017, it was a shock and a serious blow to many people who knew Rob, worked with him and appreciated his work and enormous contribution to the environmental fight.

Reports emerging after the accident suggested that Stewart had been encouraged to carry out the dangerous and, as it eventually turned out, fatal dive, by reckless instructor Peter Sotis. Some media reporting on the case even went so far as to claim that Sotis had survived the dive by climbing into the boat and leaving Stewart to die.

Shortly thereafter, a civil lawsuit began that blamed Horizon Divers, the company that took Stewart diving. The main allegation against the company was that they failed to do their job properly and left Stewart in the water to die.

With interviews and investigators’ reports, The Third Dive is set to be a compelling read that will attempt to uncover the mysterious and disturbing circumstances surrounding Rob Stewart’s untimely death.

Unfortunately, for the time being there is no information about the Polish edition of the book.
