The calendar winter has long been in full swing, but there are not many signs of it outside the window. There is still no ice on the lakes, and who knows when and if it will appear at all? Outside, snow has been lying for only two days and also in not very impressive quantity, but we can only hope that winter will not forget about us and will show its true face.

The Bartz brothers from New Brighton, Minnesota, have been demonstrating for several years how to make use of the excess snow lying outside the window. Austin, Connor and Trevor are fond of turning the white stuff into aquatic creatures. Their works already include a walrus, a blowfish and their latest creation – a shark!

The snow sculpture, about 3m high, was made in 95h! The boys spent almost 10h on the tail and flippers alone. The mass of creativity, fantasy and hard work paid off and once again a real snowman shark stood in their backyard, which all snowmen in the neighbourhood may fear!

What is best about the whole story, however, is the motivation driving the siblings…

“We enjoy seeing other people’s joy, especially when they stop in our backyard to take a picture. Plus it’s a great way to spend time together,” said Connor Bartz

Therefore, when the real Polish winter comes, we recommend everyone to spend some time with their families and try their hand at creating snow sculptures inspired by the diving world. If so, don’t forget to send us photos of your “snowmen”!

The brothers have their own youtube channelwhere you can see their work from the past years. Below you can see the creation of a snow shark step by step:
