A diver found an underwater… strip club!

When diving underwater, be ready for anything and expect the unexpected. You never know what may be waiting for you under the surface of the water. The Internet is full of films, photos and accounts of people who have found the most varied and unlikely “treasures”. All this, however, does not compare to the discovery made in Israel by Gil Koplovitz.

Mr Koplovitz is a marine biologist by profession and has been exploring the waters off the coast of Eilat from this angle. During one of his dives in 2016, however, he came across something that was definitely outside his field of interest, but as it turned out, made him an extremely famous explorer. For here he became the only diver in the world to discover an underwater… strip club!

This was to be the kind of dive he had done many times before. This time Gil Koplovitz decided to move along a long dock that led directly into the ocean. At some point he realised that there was a large structure underwater, which he decided to take a closer look at because he had no idea what he was dealing with.

Fortunately for him, the building had several windows through which he could look inside. When the intrigued marine biologist did so, his eyes saw an unusual interior that he had not expected at all. However, it did not take him long to realise what he was dealing with.

After all, anyone, even if they have never been to such a place, would be able to add 2 to 2 to find out what the platforms, stage and pipes placed here and there are used for. By the way, I wonder how many of us would believe our eyes without suspecting the first symptoms of nitrogen narcosis?

After returning to the surface, Gil Koplovitz decided to find out the secret of the place he had just discovered. He found out that there used to be a restaurant on the site, which was later transformed into an underwater strip club.

It is interesting that in June 2011, at the very beginning of our portal’s activity, I wrote short news about the opening underwater restaurant Red Sea Star in Israel. Now, looking at the photos of the uncovered club and the photos of the restaurant, I have no doubt that it is the same place.
