A 98-year-old man has become a certified diver! – video

William Lambert, a 98-year-old resident of Rockford, Illinois, has become an example that it’s never too late (or too early) to learn and dive! He and 4-year-old Jaxson Bosselman attended an event where the world’s oldest and youngest divers were underwater at the same time.

In the 1930s, William Lambert was a member of the Boy Scouts and thought it would be the perfect day to join Jaxson and other members of his team to become a certified diver.

[blockquote style=”2″]”I figured it was something doable and on top of that it promised to be a lot of fun, so I tried it and… I loved it! There were quite a few people who wanted to get their diving certification, so I came along with them. From my perspective, it is something worth doing. That’s the best answer I can give you. You just have to do it because it’s cool and it’s good for you.” – said Lambert[/blockquote].

After obtaining his qualifications and certificate, the elderly diver has no intention of slowing down. He is already planning his next dives and does not mind that he will be 99 years old on 5th September.
