William Trubridge did something incredible by descending to a depth of 100m for the third time. It is remembered that the first attempt was successful, but was not recognised as an official world record because Trubridge did not remove his nose plugs after surfacing.
It was only on the second day that he managed, after descending again to 100m, to perform all procedures correctly on the surface and thus set a magnificent world record.
However, this was not all the freediver could afford.
“I wasn’t entirely happy with the last time I did the procedure on the surface (it was totally correct and I got a white card from the judges, but I had a slight samba), so this morning I dived a metre deeper and did it in a way that felt better on the surface! Project Hector is now complete. Thank you all for your support! 101 CNF!”
Just three days after breaking the record at a depth of 100m, William Trubridge decided to improve it by one more metre. In the video here, you can watch the footage of the successful 100m attempt, where you can see, among other things, the samba that the freediver experienced after his fatigue.
