On Friday, 16 November, a historical conference is being organised to mark the extraordinary event that is the 50th anniversary of the “Medusa” experiment. This will undoubtedly be a great opportunity and a real treat for diving enthusiasts, especially those focused on historical aspects, to soak up knowledge at the very source!

The conference will take place on 16 November, from 10 am to 4 pm, in the conference hall of the National Maritime Museum on Ołowianka Island.

Meeting programme:

  • 10.00 Welcome to the conference by Dr.-Ing. Jerzy Litwin
  • 10.15 Presentation “The Rise and First Immersion of Medusa” J.Kuliński
  • 11.00 “Medusa against the background of experiments in the world at that time” W.Kwidziński (HDS)
  • 11.45 “Jellyfish – the story after the experiment” K.Kowalska (Diving Museum)
  • 12.30 “Technical trends in current works and underwater research” M.Ozga M.Sc.
  • 13.30 Break and refreshments
  • 14.00 Tour of the museum
