21st International Tourism Fair GLOBAL

The 21st edition of the International Tourism, Spa, Tourist Equipment and Sailing Fair GLOBalnie 2015 opens on 27 March and is organised by the FairExpo Exhibition Centre and will run until Sunday 29 March.

More than 260 exhibitors from 20 countries have registered to participate. It will present offers of tour operators, travel agencies, regions, spas, wellness and recreation centres, transport and hotel services, addressed both to individual and collective customers. Slovakia is the partner country. National stands and major tourist attractions will be presented by Slovakia, Tunisia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Morocco, the Dominican Republic and Indonesia.

This year for the first time the Italian region of Emilia Romagna will show off its attractions. The following spas and sanatoriums will be present: Kołobrzeg, Górnik, Rajecke Teplice, Lądek Długopole, Nida Zdrój, Włókniarz, Przy Tężni and the 21st Military Spa and Rehabilitation Hospital in Busko-Zdrój. Among the tour operators and travel agencies we will see, among others, Arion, Best Reisen Group, Tęcza, Bonus Travel, Vero Travel, Jaworzyna Tour, Euro Ray, Exim, Oasis Tour, Grupa Atlas Tour, Abdar, Sun&Fun Holiday, Vacansoleil, Polan Travel, Gama, Euro Pol Tour, Skandia, Hellas Travel, Logos Travel, Eko – Tour, Trade&Travel Company, Prestige Holidays&Tours, Prima Holiday and Sunshine Holiday.

Trade organisations will be represented by the Polish Chamber of Tourism, the Silesian Tourist Organisation, the Silesian Chamber of Tourism, the Polish Chamber of Youth Tourism, other regional and local tourist organisations.

The three-day programme of accompanying events will abound in meetings with travellers, including Arkady Paweł Fiedler, Karol Lewandowski – Bus Through the World, Natalia Brożko.

Traditionally, the artistic shows will include a Silesian Gala with artists from the Stanisław Hadyn’s Song and Dance Ensemble Silesia, Jan Szczęsny from Orzesze – winner of the “Silesian of the Year 2014” competition, and a performance by the well-known Polish cabaret Masztalskich. In addition, performances by the following bands: Primas from Slovakia, Słoneczny Brzeg with Bulgarian from Nesebar, and Na szlaku.

The programme includes, among others, cycling acrobatic shows by Krystian Herba – the champion of bicycle trial, newly crowned Guinness world record holder in climbing the highest building in the world, TAIPEI 101 in Taiwan.

Meetings with culinary masters Teo Vafidis from Greece and Remigiusz Rączka from Silesia as part of the Silesian Culinary Route, a project of the Silesian Tourist Organisation. Fun straight from computer games ROOM ESCAPE, exhibition “Trail of Eagles’ Nests in the colours of Jurassic Night, mini Easter market.

In the outdoor area, presentation of coaches by Vdl Bus&Coach, Dawpol, Daniel Tourist, Drabpol, Firma Wanicki. Allosaurus and Barionyks for the youngest – moving dinosaurs straight from Zatorland amusement park. Eco-fireplace, a presentation of fast, effective and ecological fire making – bonfires, fireplaces, barbecues.

Traditionally, the fair will be enriched by numerous dance and music performances, shows, competitions, tastings at exhibitors’ stands, displays of folk art, tips and regulations concerning tourism. The most important media and trade magazines will be present.
