The end of the Inspiraton Classic rebreathers?

The English brand AP Diving, manufacturer of the well-known Inspiration rebreathers, has announced the end of the possibility to fully service its legendary Inspiratin Classic model. The device celebrates 20 years since its premiere this year, unfortunately, due to problems with the availability of components, it will no longer be available or serviced in its current form.

It all boils down to the problem of availability of components to service the electronics of the old design. In terms of mechanical components there will be no problem, but if the electronics need to be repaired, an upgrade and replacement will probably be necessary.

The Inspiration Classic made its debut in November 1997. In 2005, the service for this model was taken over by Vision Electronics. For the next twelve years it continued to service the Classic units without any problems. However, the depleting stock of components and the impossibility of replenishing it forced the above decision to be made.
