The deepest swimming pool in the world is being built in Poland!

Works connected with the construction of the swimming pool in Mszczonów have started. This is fantastic information for the diving community, because it is for them that this facility will be dedicated. What is more, it will be the deepest diving pool in the world!

Until recently, we could envy other European countries such magnificent facilities as those located near Brussels NEMO33or the Italian Y-40 swimming poolwhich are the destination of frequent trips of divers and freedivers from around the world. They offer a great infrastructure and from start to finish are tailored to the needs of the underwater brotherhood, like a dry suit sewn to measure.

No wonder that in a country in the heart of Europe, with a thriving diving community, someone had the idea to create a similar facility. With a maximum depth of 45 metres, the pool in Mszczonów, located 50 km from Warsaw, has a chance to take over from the Italian Y-40 (42 m) as the deepest pool in the world.

Although, in truth, this title of the deepest pool in the world may not be the same. Everything depends on the completion dates of two investments. The first is the swimming pool in Mszczonów, while the second is being built on the outskirts of London. Blue Abyss swimming poolwhich will offer visitors a depth of 50 metres.

The completion and commissioning of both facilities is planned for next year, but such deadlines can be very tight. However, regardless of the title of the deepest swimming pool on earth, we can only rejoice that the investment in Mszczonów has entered the implementation phase and work has already begun on the construction site. If everything goes according to plan, we will be able to enjoy the beauty of this facility already in autumn 2019, and Poland will once again strongly emphasise its strong position on the diving and freediving map of Europe.
