TEKCamp 2021 cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic

Organisers of the popular TEKCamp diving workshop have cancelled this year’s edition due to a pandemic. The event was originally scheduled to take place from 6-9 September 2021.

Tekcamp is a very popular event in a workshop format, which for years has been bringing together enthusiasts of technical diving. It also provides a great opportunity to start the adventure with a more advanced type of diving. Unfortunately Tekcamp 2021, is already the second edition, which has been cancelled by coronavirus.

Many reasons have forced us to make this difficult decision. We are afraid that the situation related to the pandemic, will not allow us to run TEKCamp 2021 in a format that has been very popular for years, while ensuring the safety of participants. – we read in the official statement of the organizers

The organisers of TEKCamp also admit that the decision to cancel this year’s edition was extremely difficult. Unfortunately, carrying out a long and thorough analysis of all the facts forced us to take such radical action. The need to ensure the safety of TEKCamp 2021 participants and the desire to maintain the current formula were not possible to reconcile.

TEKCamp 2018 dive workshop participants Those who purchased tickets for the cancelled Tekcamp 2021 can expect a refund soon. The organisers said they will contact everyone after March 29, when Vobster Quay will be reopened to divers.

Unfortunately, we still cannot be sure about the fate of many diving events and activities. We hope that the whole situation can finally be brought under control and stop this merry-go-round of restrictions.
