The second edition of the Wreck Diving Festival will take place on 26 February in Lodz. After last year’s success of the event, the organizers have prepared another portion of great lectures.

This year, seven speakers have already confirmed their presence at the festival. These include Robert Klein, Leigh Bishop and Mirek Standowicz. The lectures will begin at 10.20 am and last until 8.30 pm.

In addition to the lecture, the organisers provide additional attractions in the form of a prize draw and a shanty concert by the Segras band. Among the prizes to be drawn is a Tecline canopy funded by the Scubatech company.

The organiser has pledged to donate all profits from ticket sales to the Lodz Hospice for Children.

Participation in the event costs PLN 40. This price includes both the participation in lectures, prize draw and the evening shanty concert. Tickets for the festival can be purchased through the form on the organiser’s website.

Programme:
  • 10:00 to 10:20 – Opening of the festival, welcome
  • 10:20 to 11:10 – Grzegorz Kowalski – The first Polish dive on M/S Piłsudski
  • 11:25 to 12:00 – Aleksander Ostasz – Following the Traces of History
  • 12:15 to 13:05 – Mirek Standowicz – The first expedition to ORP Grom
  • 13:20 to 14:40 – Leigh Bishop – “Wrecks of sunken transatlantic ships”
  • 14:55 to 15:45 – Marcin Jamkowski – “Expedition to the Steuben shipwreck”
  • 16:00 to 16:50 – Robert Klein – “Emergency planning”
  • 17:05 to 17:55 – Dominik Dopierała – “The Wrecks of Croatia – Vis Island”
  • 18:10 to 19:30 – Leigh Bishop – “Ghosts of Truk Lagoon”
  • 19:45 to 20:30 – Mirek Standowicz – “Wreck of the SS Carl D. Bradley”
  • 20:30 to 21:15 – Drawing of prizes from sponsors and closing of the festival
  • 21:15 to 23:15 – Segars band concert
