As we know, for various reasons, not everyone likes the location of a dive computer on the wrist. For those who prefer to use a so-called dive console, Scubapro has an interesting proposition in the form of its Galileo 2 computer, the successor to the Galileo Sol and Luna.

The G2C has a display that resembles a mobile phone screen and offers virtually all of the facilities and key functions familiar from the wrist version. What’s more, in the console variant, the electronic compass implemented in the G2 performs much better, making navigation much easier. All of this is protected by a rugged case.

The colour display has been very cleverly constructed and the colour palette and fonts used make the indications very clear and legible. For those who like to personalise to their own preferences, there is also the option to apply your own colour settings.

Although the Scubapro G2C is an advanced computer packed with features, it is extremely simple and intuitive to use and everything is controlled by three buttons. Depending on our preferences and the type of dive we are conducting, we can also modify the indications displayed on the console screen.

The G2C can be easily disconnected with a quick-release coupling and then data, dive profiles and the unit can be packed away for transport. The collected data can be analysed on Android/iPhone/PC/Mac devices.
