This Thursday, 14 October, a national scientific seminar will be held in Olsztyn to address the issue of invasive species in aquatic ecosystems.

The national scientific seminar Invasive alien species will be held on the premises of the University of Warmia and Mazury, in the building at 12A Heveliusza Street, room no 29. The beginning of the meeting is scheduled for 12.00.

Therefore, on this occasion, on behalf of the “Hydronautic” Underwater Research Club, the Department of Socio-Economic Geography at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, the Department of Hydrobiology at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the Department of Trace Analysis at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the KDP/CMAS Scientific Subcommittee and the PROTE company, we invite everyone to participate in the meeting.

National scientific seminar Invasive alien species (IGO) in aspect of management of aquatic ecosystems and protection of underwater landscapes.

12.00-12.15 – Opening
12.15 – 12.45 – Formal and legal aspects and principles of IGO control; Dr. Maciej Gąbka prof. UAM, Łukasz Bryl M.Sc.
12.45-12.50 – Coffee break
12.50-13.20 – Occurrence of alien species – social, economic and environmental aspects; Mateusz Draga M.Sc.
13.20-13.35 – The use of scuba diving in monitoring and assessment of IGO occurrence range;
Dr. Piotr Dynowski, Eng.
13.35-13.50 – Discussion14.00 – Meeting of the KDP CMAS Scientific Subcommittee.
