The presented improvements solve 3 main problems: sharpness under water, inability to use filters and evaporation.

“I have found a very simple way to attach the filters and adapter. The whole thing takes no more than 10 minutes, just follow the instructions and support yourself with the video posted here” – writes Rambo, the author of the fixes, on the goprouser.freeforum.com forum.

List of advantages, amendments discussed:

  • – Easy to install

  • – Use of glass, not plastic

  • – Precision of manufacturing (from a single piece)

  • – Anodised aluminium = no reflections

  • – The original lens remains intact, so we keep it fully sealed

  • – Can accommodate most 55mm filters (ND, UV, Grad)

  • – No evaporation (replaceable moisture-absorbing beads)

  • – Resolves focus issues in 720 and 1080 modes

  • – Optimum sharpness above and below water

More tips and advice can be found in the forum mentioned above (source).
