Freediver: Triton Down - a diving game in VR technology - Premiere

On the 30th of May an interesting item on the computer games market “Freediver: Triton Down” had its premiere. The action game set in diving realities is available on the popular Steam platform and currently has a user rating of 8.6/10.

This is not the first attempt to create a computer game that transports the user underwater, but so far the results have not been very satisfactory. Is it supposed to be different with “Freediver: Triton Down” is it going to be different? The game supports the increasingly fast-growing Virtual Reality technology and is aimed at teenage users.

As for the story, the product of the Archiact studio allows us to take on the role of world-class freediver Rena Tanaka, who must get out of the sinking ship. On the way there are a lot of different tasks to solve, and the factor that limits us the most is, of course, the limited amount of air.

The reception of the game after a few days since the premiere is very positive. Players above all praise the use of VR technology, the Unreal Engine 4 used and the movement system, graphics and music.

On the minus side, however, they say that… the game is too short and they want more underwater adventures. They also point out that it would be worth considering the introduction of several difficulty modes, because, as some claim, solving puzzles was too easy.
