It is a well-known fact that a well-made film from the underwater world makes a huge impression on the viewers, especially those who are not aware of the extraordinary things that hide on the other side of the water. However, it is not often that any of the creators of such productions is honoured for their work with a very prestigious television industry award – the Emmy.

Produced for the CBS station, the film concerns Eagle’s Nest cave, located in the Chassahowitzka Wildfire area, and was made by Becky Keagan Schott and David Schott, owners of Liquid Productions film studio.

Eagle’s Nest is one of the most amazing, but also most dangerous caves. Discovered in 1960, it attracts daredevils from all over the world, who want to dive into its corridors. It is estimated that since 1981 at least 6 people have lost their lives while exploring this place. Although the cave is huge and stretches hundreds of metres, it has only one entrance. Cramped corridors interweave with successive rooms, which can be so big that you have to swim near the ceiling in order not to lose your orientation! As divers who visit the Eagle’s Nest say, the water there is sometimes as clear as air.

“When you cave dive, you are immersing yourself in time capsules created by nature” Brett Hemphil, cave explorer
