Together with the organizers, we would like to encourage everyone to participate in the fourth installment of this interesting event. The organizers are directing the event to all lovers of water sports and nature. During the rafting, in addition to having fun, you will also be able to do something good and clean up a piece of the world.

Our association is the originator of the event, which has already been held since 2019. This year, the fourth installment of the rafting is already planned, the idea of which is based on very simple principles. Everyone can take part in it free of charge. Participants float down the Slupia River in any diving suits or other swimsuits that ensure buoyancy and safety, and in ABC equipment. Along the way, taking out of the water everything that does not belong to the nature encountered there.

In addition to divers canoeists and other watermen also take part in the rafting trip, who help pull out the trash they encounter. All of them together cover a several-kilometer stretch of the river. Everyone who reaches the finish line will receive a commemorative medal from the organizers and can take part in a prize drawing.

Speaking of which, it should be noted that some of them are professional diving equipment. So there is additional motivation to take part in the rafting and clean up a piece of the river. Valuable prizes are the result of support from sponsors, who are very eager to join in the organization of this event every year.

Fans cheering on the rafting participants are provided with plenty of entertainment and animation time for the little ones, and the bodies of the cleaners are warmed up with hot meals served during the closing ceremony.

Rafting is a very popular event and attracts several hundred people each year. Certainly, the 4th edition of Eco Rafting on the Slupia River 2022 will be no exception in this regard!

Interest in the event each year exceeds our expectations – in 2019 there were 250 cleaners, about 350 in total, and we pulled 1.5 tons of trash from the river and its banks. By contrast, in 2020 there were 380 cleaners, and in 2021 there were more than 400. Interestingly, the amount of garbage decreases every year, which shows how much such an action is needed by nature.

You can find more information at official website of the event.

Without a doubt, Sweden is famous for its magnificent wrecks that rest at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. One of them is the magnificent Bodekull warship wreck from the 17th century, which we visited in 2021. You will read more about it in issue 19 the DIVERS24 quarterly magazine! The digital version of the magazine is available free of charge, while you can purchase the printed version in our online shop.
