As a professional diving torch, the XTAR D26 uses the latest top-of-the-range CREE XM-L2 U3 LED with a maximum output of 1100 lumens. The body of the torch is made of stainless steel and has a perforated surface with a wear-resistant anodic coating, which ensures a good and secure grip.
To ensure good electrical contact, the battery contacts are made of antioxidant materials and are additionally gold-plated. The creators have also taken care of protection against incorrect polarity of the battery, equipped the device with a luminous flux adjustment and a tactical switch with a function of switching modes of operation.
Thus, we can choose between High, Turbo, Mid and Low modes. As for this type of torches, an interesting feature is the built-in power indicator, which keeps you informed about the battery charge status. Adapted to high-capacity 18650, 18700 or 26650 batteries with PCM, the torch allows for a relatively long diving time.’
Specification:
Switching on takes place using the main button on the body. The applied sensory button, allows for gentle switching between light modes. The torch has 4 modes of operation allowing you to adjust the strength of light appropriate to the situation: Turbo, High, Medium, Low. The switch protection against accidental activation of the torch is convenient and properly marked with a padlock symbol. When the capacity of the cell exceeds 25%, the LED indicator lights up green; between 5% and 25%, the indicator lights up red; and when the capacity is insufficient, the indicator flashes red.
The torch is equipped with an anti-reflective mineral lens made of thick unbreakable glass. The lens is tempered and, with ultra-bright glass, meets good throughput conditions (98.5%), allowing a maximum light intensity of 24025 candela. The light of this torch, differs from the D26W model, with a cold light colour.
Modes and operating times:
Turbo: 1100 lumens / 2 hours
High: 600 lumens / 3.6 hours
Medium: 200 lumens / 11 hours
Low: 60 lumens / 48 hours
