Diving evenings – Titans of the Baltic Sea

With the new year, Dive Evenings at the SANTI Concept Store in Warsaw return to the calendar. The next meeting will take place on Thursday, 10 January 2019. The invited guest will be Tomasz Stachura, diver, underwater photographer and head of the “Santi Find the Eagle” project.

The topic of the presentation to be made by Tomasz Stachura will be “Titans of the Baltic Sea”. Under this mysterious title are hidden the three greatest maritime tragedies that have taken place in the waters of the Baltic Sea.

We will set out into the darkness of history and the depths of the Baltic, where the vessels M/S “Goya”, M/S “Wilhelm Gustloff” and S/S “General von Steuben” hide their stories. Giants sunk during the evacuation, carried out in 1945, as part of Operation Hannibal.

After the presentation, the organiser would like to propose a panel discussion, concerning wreck diving. Both those accessible and those forbidden to dive. All participants will be able to express their views on this issue.
