On 5-7 August, the First Freediving Indoor Competition in Poland – Deepspot Challenge – will take place.

Deepspot is in full swing. The wonderful swimming pool for divers and freedivers has already been aroused by the project. Everyone could see in their mind’s eye the immense possibilities this kind of facility offers and… it’s time to move from words to deeds. Time for the Deepspot Challenge!

The first wave of enthusiasm when the facility became available is probably over. Everyone who wanted to has already enjoyed this wonderful construction, or at least seen what it has to offer. There is no denying that divers and freedivers alike have flocked to inspect the Deepspot pool.

However, this is all just relaxation and recreation, so it is necessary a real rehearsal. Sports competition is even an ideal way to confront Deepspot’s capabilities with reality and expectations.

Wishing to participate in the development of freediving, Deepspot Team announces the First Freediving Indoor Competition in Poland – Deepspot Challenge! Apart from providing a great training infrastructure, we want to create a platform to try one’s hand at freediving, set personal goals and participate in the freediving community, which has been growing rapidly over the last year. reads the competition website

A special competition has been prepared especially for the Deepspot Challenge. Tomek “Nitas” Nitka, the head of freediving instructors in Deepspot, explains the exact rules of the competition in the attached video.

Anyone who thinks of themselves as a freediver is welcome to participate: beginners and advanced, certified and uncertified. Those who regularly train in Deepspot and those who have never been here before. Let’s all come together for a great Freediving celebration!

Special guest

At the end we have left a real bomb. The special guest of the competition will be an absolute legend of freediving – Herbert Nitsch! Undoubtedly, every enthusiast of this sport knows this name and is well aware of the Austrian’s achievements. For the rest of you, I recommend getting to know his achievements, because he is one of a kind. More on Deepsot Challenge coming soon!

Full regulations regulations and the possibility to registration can be found on a specially prepared page of the competition.
